"Eat a COOKIE and See me in the morning"

Hello, I am Dr. "J". What can I do for you today?

Let me explain. Life at the Huff house has been in need of me aka "Dr. J" lately. About 2 1/2 weeks ago, both my kids started with a terrible asthmatic reaction to their known allergies. (Which those of you that know me, know I do EVERYTHING I can to keep these allergens away from my kids, but sometimes it is out of my control). So anyway, Brianna gets better after about a week or so, but poor Nathan is still battling it. Needless to say, I am up with him every night trying to control his coughing fits that go non-stop. So a little sleep-deprived...

Well, then my Man comes down with the stomach virus this past weekend and is still having issues with it almost 5 days later. (Quaranteened him to the Master Suite until all is clear!)

On Monday night, he comes to my bedside (in the Guest room) @ 12:30am to ask if I am awake. All I remember is he was saying something about how he didn't feel well. So, of course, my response is "Eat a COOKIE". He obviously thought I was out of my mind!! Well, eating a cookie in the middle of the night always helps me! :-) You should try it sometime.

I'm back!!

Ok, so it's been ages since I have written you! Sorry for that!! Life is absolutely a whirlwind right now. Work is extremely busy, which is great! (Thank God I still have a job in today's economy!) And our weekends are filled with Cheerleading (which I decided to co-coach for some CRAZY reason), KidSwaps, Church activities, local events, family birthdays in Macon, and much more. But I'M BACK! So watch out all your Huff Dawg Blogger fans!!
Love ya,
J

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!

It's my birthday, and I’ll Daisy Duke if I want to! Yes, that’s right, I went to see the Dukes of Hazzard @ Duke Fest on my birthday! What an awesome childhood memory watching the Dukes. I wanted to grow up to be pretty and independent like Daisy and to marry Bo Duke. Come on girls, you know you did too. And they always had such innocent fun. Whatever happened to the “good ole days” TV shows!

We did have a great time. The kids got to see the cars from the show, ride a few carnival rides, and see the Atlanta Motor Speedway. And we even freshened up on our Duke trivia. And now I can put my picture of me with the General Lee when I was 10 next to these (and I will not announce my age) pictures with my children. A great birthday!

Deeper Still Conference 2008!

WOW!! What an awesome weekend! This was a Christian Women's conference with guest speakers Beth Moore, Priscilla Shirer and Kay Arthur! 3 amazing women! It lasted Friday night and all day Saturday. There were approximately 50 women from our church (Southcrest Church) that went and spent the night together that Friday night! I shared a room with 3 precious ladies, Sheena, Kristie and Kathy. And guess what, they surprised me with a birthday celebration when we got back to the room on Friday night. Birthday cake and girl time with 20 ladies until 1am!! Who could ask for more?

Ok, back to the conference. It turned out to be the birth of a new life for me! I realized that our time here is very short and we were chosen for an exact purpose. To stop focusing on myself, and my needs, and turn that focus on fulfilling God's will for my life! I am fired-up and can hardly wait what to see what adventures he has in store for me! I'll be sure to keep you posted.
And you can check out the blog on the conference at http://blogs.lifeway.com/blog/deeperstill/

What happens in Mexico...

SuperStar trip to Playa de Carmen, Mexico!!

Raymond did it! He won his 1st SuperStar trip with Alfa Insurance! This is a VERY HARD trip to win, only do their best agents ever make it, and my Raymond did it!

We had the best time. It was just the 2 of us in Mexico with no agenda for an entire week. Who could ask for more? We mainly stayed on the resort (where there was so much to do) the entire week. They had special dinner events planned for us 2 nights with live entertainment. We did go out Deep Sea Fishing one day and caught a 75lb White Marlin after 3 hours of fishing.
